Craig works in the clothing closet, organizing donations and helping people borrow professional attire for interviews and jobs. “I just really like the whole atmosphere at MND,” Craig said. His involvement with the organization has helped him to make new friends and learn how to communicate better with others. Craig enjoys volunteering because he likes being with people and thinks of himself as someone everyone can come to.
Because of his friendliness and love for people, Craig is looking for a job in customer care, a field in which he used to work. His dream job would be to own his own business selling clothing and shoes where he could share his love of fashion with his customers. In his free time, Craig enjoys outdoor activities, such as swimming and tennis, and putting together all kinds of models, especially airplanes. He would love to one day open a museum with models to educate the public.
Craig would like to thank all of Maryland New Directions, especially Clair, for all the help in his ongoing job search. Not only do they help people find jobs, but Craig says they go beyond, giving people professional clothing to wear and meeting to follow up even after clients complete the program. Craig wants people to know that at MND, the job coaches truly care about their clients and put their heart into their work.
